Description
Specification Sales Representative sought by the windows division of a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide, to cover their Midlands & South East region, down to north of London.
You can be based on patch in any of the following regions: Home Counties, Cambridgeshire Essex, Norfolk, West Midlands, Warwickshire, East Midlands, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Wales etc
The Role:
Joining a team of 7 and reporting to the Head of Sales, as Specification Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include:
- Selling the company’s full range of window and door solution products for use in commercial developments / refurbishments. Product range includes: flush fit windows, vertical windows, sliding doors, Juliet balconies
- Developing relationships with key architects, specifiers, developers, consultants and contractors
- Developing client base with a particular focus on the Midlands area
- Promoting the company’s new product range
- Generating product / system specifications in line with targeted expectations
- Working closely with commercial fabricators and installers to defend specifications
- Developing, hosting and delivering technical presentations such as CPD seminars for architects and other construction professionals
- Achieving targets based on quotes, projects won, CPDs performed
The successful Specification Sales Representative should demonstrate:
- A proven track record of sales success in the windows, doors, or associated industries e.g. ironmongery, hinges etc. uPVC, aluminium, timber, aluclad
- Track record of specification sales
- Ability to promote new product ranges
- Experience of medium-to-long term lead times
- Project led
- Knowledge of wind loadings and the fabric of a building
- A confident presentation performer
- Ability to interact with and draw upon a wide range of supporting services
- A collaborative personality with a desire to build relationships both internally and with clients
